Local Tournament Rules (in addition to ASA rules)
1. The umpires will settle any dispute on the playing field. The umpire will discuss disputes with either the team manager of team delegate.
2. Umpires can at their discretion eject players from the game. The umpire may also eject a player from the complex where the game is being played.
3. Only a manager or team delegate can appeal a call or discuss a call with an umpire.
4. Slo-pitch means a 6 to 12 foot arc.
5. Strike zone is any ball that lands on the mat or plate. The entire is also considered part of home plate.
6. No bunting.
7. No steel spikes.
8. Runners may leave the base only after the pitch reaches the batter and must return to the base once the pitcher has the ball. There is no stealing or advancement on any passed balls.
9. A foul ball on the 3rd strike will be a strikeout.
10. Pitchers must pitch from the rubber.
11. Keep your own scorebook.
12. Be ready for your game to start ahead of schedule.
13. The 10 run rule is in effect starting the 5th inning. The home team, if losing, always receives its at bats in an inning they are down by 10 runs.
14. Intentional walks are automatic.
15. Each team has the option to include a DH and up to 2 EH’s.
16. Teams may begin a game with 8 players. Any less than 8 at any time during the game then a forfeit will occur.
17. Each team will be allowed 3 courtesy runners per game, at the teams discretion.
18. Games will not be delayed beyond their start time for any reason.
19. A restraining line 30 from home plate on the third base side will be used. Any runner passing the line must head home. All plays are force outs at home.
20. Bats must be ASA sanctioned.
21. A team is allowed 2 home runs per inning. No carryover into the next inning will be allowed. Any home run beyond 2 in an inning will be played as an out. A ball must be over the fence and not be considered a fielder error by the umpire to be included for this rule.
22. Sliding at all bases is not mandatory. However, all runners should avoid a collision at all costs. Any collision into a fielder can be subjected as an out and/or ejection based on the umpires opinion.
23. In the coed bracket at least 4 women must be on the playing field and in the batting order at all times or it will be a forfeit.
24. In the coed bracket if a male is walked and a female is next in the order, the women is automatically walked as well.
